credit Finally, this image reminds of my daughter and the age that she started riding! It truly brings to mind the meaning of "Thanks" to have my wonderful children who are now adults and approaching adulthood all healthy, happy and safe! |
Gorgeous photos. I love pictures of "The Hunt". Always brings memories of traditions past. Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Karolyn. I agree, I hate the thought of a fox being harmed, but have horses in my blood and photos of the red jackets, boots and hats always make me think of my grandparents and their beautiful farm. Thanks for reminding me of them this morning.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you and your family have a beautiful Thanksgiving. I'm thankful that we got to meet this year! XOXO
What a nice tradition and such beautiful photos! Our family usually runs in the Turkey Trot while I stay home and cook...although with this weather, who knows! I hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving!

It does make a beautiful theme and table doesn't it. I hope they are bundled up today..it is cold and nasty. Hope you are warm and not having to go out......wishing you and yours a very happy and peaceful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteKarolyn... beautiful post. Love the pic of Jackie! The last pic is so darling, and so sentimental. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Stay dry!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Karolyn!!!! What a fabulous tradition…the Hunt! I have always admired the attire and the nostalgia associated with such an old tradition. I would love to see or experience one some day! Love all these images…and though I may not be on a hunt….I have Spode Woodland and antlers everywhere, so it's a bit of a nod!

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you!!
Deletehappy thanksgiving! we have no comparable tradition in our neck of the woods. wait. oh yes, we do. it's called the great hunt for the bigger pair of pants after the holiday dinner. not as classy as chasing a fox but challenging nonetheless! have a blast.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Michele!!
DeleteI love hunt themed table decor so much! I couldn't live with it all the time, but I enjoy a bit here and there.
ReplyDeleteYou need to paint a pumpkin with a hunting scene toile! Not that you need any ideas.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of images and always love the regalia involved in a hunt.
