Well do you ? I am talking about the resurgence of "low down" lounge chairs! They were quite popular in the 70's and are everywhere in European design.
However, they are just starting to make their way back into our design lives.
I always loved a fireplace chair. Like this antique beauty below that was diminutive and sat low to the ground and hearth.
The low fireside chairs I was used too, like this on 1st Dibs! These new low lounge chairs below are sharp though... |

i like how they look, but when i visited an estate sale recently and parked my old booty in a 60's low down, it was difficult to ascend back up!!! so maybe they are for the young and nimble? btw, those estate sale ladies were hilarious and determined to sell me those chairs even though i clearly wasn't a fan! happy almost new year, friend. xox
ReplyDeleteToo funny, those young kids!!
DeleteKarolyn I actually ordered a little bit lower velvet Hartwell chairs through Anthropogie to be delivered soon for the living room -seat sits 16.5 high. Wanted lower to not block light through the window will let you know if the pair sits comfortably. Happy New Year wishes.

Karolyn, love these low chairs. All are beautiful but I agree with Michele that my favorite is the first one.
