I seem to
be stuck this week on classically elegant spaces and people! I think it’s
because my own day to day living couldn’t be farther from that chic way of
life. I get up every morning, feed animals, teenagers, usher them out the door
to school. I then do my BLOG, straighten up the house, maybe a load of laundry,
then off to work! I then return in
afternoon for end of school, get dinner ready for everyone including animals,
research for blog, chat with kids and husband, and pass out! I am sure many of you are saying, ME
TOO!! Not that I am complaining, I am truly grateful to be blessed with healthy
children and a great life, but sometimes its fun to dream. So, wouldn’t it be
lovely to be able to get away the classically chic way? I imagined where Aerin
Lauder, Tory Burch, Tinsley Mortimer, etc would go to indulge, and one place
came to mind…”The Hotel De Crillon, in Paris!
The Hotel
De Crillon is located on the Place de la Concorde in the midst of history, art
and fashion. This 5 Star hotel is dripping in decadence and romance. Once a
private residence (if you could believe that!), it offers discrete luxury in
the heart of Paris. Can you imagine a socialite with Louis Vuitton Trunks at
her feet standing in the lobby with her little dog in hand waiting to be
escorted to one of the luxurious suites, preferably the Louis XV!
Sounds
amazing right! Well, lets all take a moment as we peruse the photos of this
magnificent hotel, and pretend we are there with a big hunk of chocolate in one
hand and a baguette in the other. “Garcon, more Champagne si vous plait!” Okay
back to reality, maybe I will go treat myself to a Starbucks!
A special Thanks to Emma at Paper Blog, who named me editor's choice yesterday! I truly appreciate it!
Really?? When and how soon can I go!! Credits:Hotel De Crillon, Five Star Alliance, and Luxist. |
