A Neutral Season Transition
Yes, I said a neutral season transition , try saying that ten times fast! It is September and I truly don't remember having a Summer this year. Lots of things happened that took priority and the days got away from me and now I am facing Fall. I feel like I want to transition into Fall but I don't want to hit the ground running. I saw that Pottery Barn was having a SAVEMORE event and thought I would take a peak. I found that one can do a lovely neutral Fall feel that can become bolder as the days get colder. Here are some of my favorite finds on PB that can ease you into the Fall with taking away Summer completely. Happy Shopping HERE!

Joe Lucas- Harbinger LA
I attended a beautiful wedding at the Bay Head Yacht club this past weekend. It was simple and elegant and it didn't hurt that the yacht club has been completely renovated since Hurricane Sandy by designer Joe Lucas! The colors were calm with camels and watery gray greens, a traditional feel yet not stuffy at all.
I love Joe's style and whenever I get out to LA you can bet I will be paying Harbinger a visit. If you don't know Joe , he has been in the design industry for many years and had worked as a project manager at one time for Michael Smith. In 2015 Joe became sole owner of both Joe Lucas Studio and Harbinger LA. I'd say he is keeping quite busy! To see more about Joe and Harbinger go HERE.
Here are some of my favorite pieces from Harbinger and Joe's Portfolio.......

Strut Your Peacock!
I see that according to House Beautiful romantic rich Peacock Blue is making a big comeback.
I don't think it really went away! I love rooms drenched in it but I prefer a little pop of deep teal in accessories, art and sometimes wall coverings. I found some of my favorite Peacock Blue spaces that then drove me to find peacock pieces on OKL that can add a touch of one of this Fall's it colors instantly! What do you think is the "it" color for Fall?

Magnificent Tommy Mitchell!
Tommy Mitchell used to be an art restorer for over 20 years and became interested in metal sculpture. He used his talent to create metal floral sculptures for the small clientele who were familiar with his work. People began commissioning him to do pieces for their homes in NYC and Palm Beach, but before long word spread and his work was instantly in demand! Each of Tommy's pieces are hand made and signed so they are original works of art. A piece by Tommy is definitely on my wish list and I hope I can use a piece or two for a client very soon.
