Feeling Fall With Farrow And Ball!

Good Bye Summer! Hello Fall!  Here in the North East the temperature is still in the 90's, but that doesn't stop me from seeking designer warmth. You know the kind you get from Fall paint colors and fabrics.  I stopped  over at Farrow and Ball, because I know they always have such wonderful saturated hues. Of course they did not disappoint!  Check out some of my favorite Fall colors and how F & B uses them in a room. What Fall colors are you craving? Go HERE

Holding Onto Summer With Hermes!

I loved all the input on my Swoon Worthy post.   All had very good points . TGInteriors had a very valid point, that it takes money and imagination. I am a fan of today's trendy rooms with minimal yet eclectic pieces. I guess I am looking for imagination in rooms that really has it's own sense of self and that even includes rooms done from thrift stores, Etsy Ebay etc., but I do know that money really does help when doing a swoon worthy space!
Is anyone still trying to hold onto Summer? I know I am! I received an email from Jerry Pair with the new Hermes fabrics. These fabrics can make amy room feel like Summer all year long.  They have that jungle inspired design and the colors are bright and fun. I know one definitely needs money when it comes to Hermes, but again one can dream.  Maybe take the idea of bright colors and jungle inspired motif and do your own version of Hermes Jungle Life,  that would be great!

Searching For Swoon Worthy!

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of today's move towards minimal chic. You know the look, "rooms with white walls and fun colorful accessories with abstract art." However,  I miss being bowled over!  Doing design is tricky these days because frankly everyone has a hand in it somehow or someway due to the power of social media. Pinterest and other sites provide everyone with dream rooms that they can try to recreate or at least use as inspiration.  I want a room that takes more than a shopping spree to recreate and I would love to design one for a client someday.  Alas, the days of "Carte Blanche" decorating I fear are over, but one can dream!!
Here are some of my favorite "Swoon Worthy" rooms done by the design masters.

This room will always be Swoon Worthy to me!

LBI Fab Food And Fashion!

I must say that I miss the beach! I am adding two more must stop places to the LBI love list.
The first one is making me hungry just writing about it! We had the pleasure of dining at Black Eyed Susans. Black-eyed Susans is a beach casual BYOB in Harvey Cedars opened in June 2010 by chef partners Ashley Pellagrino, Christopher Sanchez, and Tim Bellew. It has quickly become one of Long Beach Island's most respected dinner destinations, in addition to offering first-class catering for events at your location. I had the Tile Fish and I cleaned that plate.  Service was great and we even got to be seated by Robin Quivers , which made for a fun evening topic. This is a must try when in LBI!

Are you hungry now?

Let's move onto fashion shall we?

Must stop shop is A Lovely Universe!

A Lovely Universe started by Sarah Cunningham is a lifestyle shop focusing on day brightening women's clothing, accessories and charming gifts. Born in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn but currently growing in Beach Haven, NJ.
I loved the fun vintage vibe her pieces had and the wonderful accessories.
The store had a great feminine feel and Sarah was lovely herself.
Definitely make this a  shop stop when visiting LBI.
