It is very dreary here in the NorthEast and I need some Spring inspiration. I always associate certain colors with Spring and Summer such as lilac, celadon, yellow, pink and peach. Peach usually always ends up last on my list. I never tend to use it in my design work even though it is quite pretty and soft. Maybe I should give peach another try! What is your favorite go to Spring color and what color would you like to try?
My artist crush of the week is Sandra Flood! You will not believe that this artist is self taught. Her work is fabulous. The brush strokes and use of color along with her use of light are masterful. I love the emotion that radiates from each figure she paints, even the animals seem to come to life. Sandra resides in Frenchtown, New Jersey along with her husband and three dogs. If you are interested in her paintings or even Giclee prints go HERE!
After five fabulous and fun-filled days in its new location at Pier 92, the 2015 edition of DIFFA's DINING BY DESIGN raised over $750,000. Under the theme "All Together Now" "Together all for DIFFA" - the event united the best in the business and was a true testament to the power of design. Thanks to all who helped make a DIFFA-rence in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Please take note of the fabulous work and design efforts put into the following "dining design" and the wonderful photography credit goes to - timothy bell! Thank you Danielle McWilliams for letting me share this with my readers.
