Oh Suzani!

I know that the use of Suzanis seem to have already had their day, but I still love them! Now Jayson Home  has given me a renewed reason to love them and that is the new color ways that they have feature on their site. They are light and airy and some have a touch of pastel and femininity to them.
I love them for headboards, ottomans and benches at the foot of beds. If large enough they make lovely panels too.  Check out these lovely Suzani's from Jayson Home .

FALLING FOR FEATHERS

Fall is a time to re-feather your next, no pun intended! I love the use of different types of feathers mixed into decor with all the warm Autumn colors and textures. They look lovely with pumpkins and Fall foliage or just simply placed by themselves in an old vase or crock. Feathers are even beautiful used in hats or bouquets and even photography.  I found a place where the sky is the limit when it comes to available feathers and that's the Feather Emporium.  The site is amazing and their Pins on Pinterest are gorgeous. Color Combination Crush!

I have been couch bound for two days! I think a virus hit me because it came on all of a sudden and knocked me out immediately.  Thus, magazines became my best friends when I wasn't sleeping. I loved the Special Issue of In Style/Your Look for Fall. It had great tips for hair, skin and clothing. I loved the color combination pages of clothing options and one in particular became my instant crush, it was the Cypress/Navy/Steel Gray combo. Yes this color collaboration has me totally intrigued. I would love the chance to put it to use in an interior space. I found some examples that are close but could be tweaked a bit to fit this crush. What are  your favorite color combinations these days, I would love to know! Tell me and I will post about them next week. Have a great weekend and stay well my friends.

Joel Woodard Wednesday!

It's that time of year again! Time for the fabulous Designer Showhouse Of New Jersey in Saddle River, NJ. There will be many talented designers showcasing their abilities but one particularly takes the cake! That is designer Joel Woodard.  Joel is not only a fabulous designer but a true Southern gentleman as well.  I have been lucky enough to have become friends with him and enjoy learning from his expertise. He is doing a bedroom this year and all can tell you is that it will be extremely well done! I cannot divulge any secrets about this wonderful space except to encourage you to take a day trip and enjoy this year's Showhouse so you can see it for yourself.  Let's look at some of Joel's fabulous past works and check out the information about this year's Showhouse right HERE!
