A Bold Entrance!

I am helping a friend revamp her home decor. She has great style already and loves color and art. Her foyer is the starting point of our design adventure and although my friend thought a bold color was going to be the choice... it may just be all white! Not sure yet, so stay tuned as it unfolds. I did get inspired to check out some bold entrance foyers and here are some of my favorites, enjoy!
Everyone please have a safe and Happy New Year!

Thank You Rizzoli New York!

I hope everyone experienced a beautiful and peaceful Holiday. We had a lovely but very filling Christmas and I truly need to back off of the sugar right now.  Instead I am indulging in some fabulous books! I was fortunate enough to have won the "Holiday Books For Her"contest by Rizzoli New York.  I will be giving you a glimpse of each of the 5 fabulous books in separate posts. They are all different and wonderful in their own right.  I am starting the posts off with the most colorful and eye catching one,"Jeff Leatham - Visionary Floral Art and Design".  I am only posting a few of the many fabulous arrangements created by Jeff and his team because you really need to get this book so you can experience every page filled with a  gorgeous fantasy arrangement. All of these books are available through Rizzoli
I also would like to give a shout out to the wonderful Rosemary at NYC, Style and a little Cannoli! Rosemary along with Java Josh of NEW YORK Gourmet Coffee sent me a delicious Creme Brulee Decaf coffee. I cannot have caffeine and I never found a good flavored decaf until now, I mean it's delicious! You can go to the link and order from a vast choice of flavors.
Onto the post! Jeff Leatham knew he wanted to be a floral artist when he stepped into the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. He was amazed by the beauty and elegance and knew he had to be a part of it. When Jeff started he had no formal training or experience he had only his gut and intuition to guide him as he trained under a patient designer.  Five years later he was in Paris as the artistic director of the George V Hotel. Today Jeff along with his team create magical installations and through this book he hopes to inspire the reader to channel their inner creativity when it comes to flowers.  Enjoy and let the beauty of his creations inspire you!

Silver And Gold..Silver And Gold...

I will always loved this little song from my childhood! It is true at this time of year everything seems to glitter with silver and gold. I think it's the reflective nature that looks so wonderful and festive.  So many beautiful things of silver and gold it was so hard to choose but here are just a few of my favorites. I hope you take some time to stay in the present and look around at the beauty that can be found during the Holiday and this time of year.

All Snug In Their Beds...

If you are like me you could use a little sleep right now! I am running back and forth to finish up with clients before the holiday and also get last minute gifts for loved ones.  I do know that if I had a bedroom like the dreamy one I am posting I would probably stay there for hours on end. Remember to get some rest, eat well, drink water and a little meditation wouldn't be so bad. In fact mindfulness and stress reduction may be the key to helping bring peaceful energy to this not so peaceful world right now.

Okay a little hot cocoa couldnt hurt either!
