Glamourous VS. Girly..Rethinking Pink!

I have to admit I have always leaned a bit towards the masculine side when it comes to decor and even attire. If you were to look in my wardrobe you would find alot of navy, camel, black and gray and an occasional piece of pink.  In my home pink is found only in two of my daughter's rooms and a faded hint of pink tone in two rugs that grace my foyer.  Other than that no pink!  However, I am starting to rethink pink !  While my husband has been away I have been up at night with a touch of insomnia so of course my daughter got me hooked on Polyvore.  I have been up creating spaces  that seem to involve pink!  I think I am starting to crush on pink. I am starting to see it for the glamorous color it is rather than the girly color I always thought it was.  What do you think of pink? Glamorous vs. Girly tell me your thoughts!

Here are some examples of Pink pulling out Glamour!!

  2. Oh seeing all this pink makes me happy.I love pink but have never really used it for my decor. HOWEVER just today I finally took away my red pointsetta tress on my kitchen island and replaced them with springy looking pink cherry blossoms! It looks so cheery and happy and springlike, never mind its only 15 and there is snow everywhere.....reminds me spring is just a few months away...bring on the pink!

  8. I am not a pink kinda girl though I have a pink accent wall in my kitchen, ha ha! It has black undertones so it doesn't read girly pink. Nonetheless, I love all these spaces. They are all very glam!
