"Head Bored" Or "Headboard"!

We spend half our lives in bed!  Shouldn't it be a place of not only peaceful dreams but itself a dreamy piece?  As I help a friend design her daughter's room we realized that the older teenager wasn't quite sure what her style was or taste for that matter.  So rather than making a room filled with fun pieces, and fabric colors etc, I thought let's give her at least a really nice bed! Keeping the rest of the room simple , maybe a statement headboard or bed may be the way to go.  They weren't quite sure what I meant so I found some inspirational images ranging from simple to elaborate to enlighten them. Do you have a statement bed?

    Beautiful! I love big tall headboards that make the bed the focal point of the room. You can't go wrong with any of these!

    I do love a statement bed. I'm working on new bedding now. It's kind of a package deal for me.

    Very beautiful inspirations, and yes, a bedroom should have an inviting "first to notice" kind of bed. Personaly, one can achieve it with just bedding ... but I do prefer a strong headboard and / or bed that is like a sleigh bed, which feels more cozy to me.

    So many pretty rooms! Lots of inspiration here and I fall for the bedding every time. Soft linens and the perfect headboard will no doubt create a blissful slumber:)

    I don't have an upholstered head board, but I do have a great bed with a lovely exotic wooden headboard. I love it because it is more our aesthetic. These are all stunning too and very pretty spaces. xx

    Clean, fresh, simple and inviting!
    Bedrooms are places to relax ... A comfortable bed with fresh linens is a must! I prefer a simple bed with wood headboard.
