I picked up an Elle Decoration Magazine in Nice and once again loved seeing the use of color and blend of modern pieces that keep the Europeans a bit on the edge! I thought I would share some of my favorite finds from this issue and I am curious to see your comments on what you like from my picks!
Enjoy and Happy Hump day, I am going to make some tea!
I need to see more of this firm's work! Charles Cameron |
I see that England and France can agree on one thing- Cole & Sons Fabulous Wallcovering! I also love the pendant light bySpace Copenhagen and the Cosse Sofa (Ligne Roset) they linked the wrong company but by shear determination I found out it is Phillipe Nigro for LR. |
How about those metal tiles? LOVE- Maya wall tiles by CTO Lighting. The pendant lights are also wonderful by Tom Dixon and I wish they put the right link for this amazing cocktail table but again they sent me on a wild goose chase instead! I am determined to find out who made it and I will let you know as soon as I do. |
Onto the bold colors! I saw quite alot of turquoise, pale robin's egg, tutti frutti red and pops of matte black. The use of many accent walls with poops of color to divide space are all the rage! I think Kris @Driven by Decor will be glad to know she is on the cutting edge of Euro choice with her almost black walls! |
They call this Tutti Frutti! |
Loving the deep ocean blue moroccan tile backsplash here! |
Full overlay marble island tops are hot in Europe and are starting to become popular here as well! |
In love with this Hotel Cheval Blanc-Randheli! Sweeping high ceilings, open floor plan and detail galore what not to love!! |
Now thats a bathroom!! |
Oh no! I picked up the same thing when I went to Paris. Feel better, Karolyn. Extra spicy Thai food always helps clear my head. Pampering, tea, magazines and rest are good, too. Take care. XOXO
ReplyDeleteHello again Karolyn!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to spend a week at the hotel Cheval Blanc in the Maldives! The hotel website is gorgeous, and the fact that my favorite royal couple William & Kate just had a 'baby moon' there (before they go on their exhausting 3 week tour) is a huge recommendation as well!
P.S. Hope the hot tea works and you feel better in time for the Architectural Digest show on Friday!
ReplyDeleteThis drink is supposed to be really good for your immune system - the juice of 1/2 a fresh meyer lemon, the juice of 1/2 a fresh lime, 1 squeezed garlic clove, all mixed with 1 tablespoon agave honey.
**healing wishes sent your way*
Thank you so much Eliza Beth!! I just may try this concoction because I currently feel waterlogged! Thanks for popping by with such nice comments!!
DeleteAww... hope you feel better soon. Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteAhhh Karolyn-I so enjoyed your photos from your fabulous trip! Sorry to hear you are under the weather. It happened to me right after our trip to Los Cabos (that darn airplane air right?). My advice is to stay home and stay down. Lots of tea, citrus and I took airborne too. Staying in and avoiding more germs was what helped me. Feel better soon!

ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon - lots of nasty stuff going around! I'm loving that marble kitchen island - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your jetlag, they say lots of water to flush things out of your system and of course the obvious about not taking catnaps but trying to adhere to your regular schedule...warm weather would help too don't you think:)
