Color Cool Down!

I have a major design regret!  I wish that I had Summer exchange pieces to transform my home from Season to Season. I would love to  have slipcovers ready to go and natural woven or some fun hide rugs rolled and ready to bring out when the temp hits 80's!  It's been a muggy week of 90 degrees here in NJ and although my house is physically cool inside it could use that little extra something to have is visibly cool as well. I need to plan for next year to have some fun decor on hand so that when it heats up the room cools down. Here are some lovely rooms that I found. Take note of room color and texture and use of simple pieces mixed in. Enjoy and stay cool.

  2. Fantastic! I admit, it's very hip to have seasonal slip covers. Once you have them it feels like a new home. Do it.....

  3. Gorgeous photos! Since I am not a designer, I never think about changing my decor with the seasons, although I do dream of rooms like these in my fantasy beach house!! Have a great rest of the week, Karolyn! xoxo

  4. Karolyn, I always enjoy your collection of images. These are so soothing and peaceful for summer. That bedroom-swoon! Hope yours is off to a great start. I'm finally on vacation from work and we leave for Portugal and Spain the first of July so life is good right now. Happy summer!
