Oh Deer!

A friend of mine found a baby deer yesterday that had fallen off a wall in their back yard and broke it's little leg! They were kind enough to bring it to a wild life vet and our fingers are crossed that something can be done. A few years back a doe had a fawn in my front bushes and my then Lab Hogan found it but didn't harm it, however I had to pick the tiny thing up and find a safe place that the mother could return to.  I have a love/ hate relationship with deer! I love to look at them and see the Spring fawns playing in my back yard, but I hate the damage they do to the yard and the car accidents caused by them.
However, I have to say that I do also like seeing a bit of deer in design! There are some great ways to incorporate this lovely creature into interiors that can be sharp and fun! What do you think of a little Rudolph as an accessory in a room?

They named him-Humpty Dumpty!

  2. Does life imitate art, or does art imitate life? What a cleaver post! Only you could turn it into a design question! Well done.

  7. I hope Humpty has a speedy recovery. Poor baby :( We live near Rock Creek and there are plenty of deer. I'm thankful they haven't found my garden. As for deer decor - yes, please!! Xo
