Okay I would never want this for myself or even my girls but you have to admit it's amazing! Credit |
If I were to Ombre a space I would take inspiration from this lovely painting and it's subtle tones that seem to flow down the canvas! Credit I just love the following images as they are not jarring but instead make for an interesting wall and accent! |

I would love to see that!! I am too old to ombre my hair but I love the artistc quality of it when done right! Thanks for popping by!;)
DeleteThere is something calming about the ombre effect. The painting is beautiful as well as your chosen images.

DeleteI love the calm feel of it too, you chose the right description..calm!
DeleteI think ombre can be done well or not so well and ever since it's become a trend I'm seeing more and more things that fall into the "not so well" category so I'm kinda over it!
ReplyDeleteI think if you are 18 or under and you are a trendsetter it is fine....in interiors i feel its had its 15 min of fame but then again i am more of a purist though I still like it on an accent like a pillow here and there, not a fan of it on hair, just me or maybe because I live in a house of men lol!
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about it, it must be done just right fr me ...for example I adore the cream and blue with that enchanting doorway!

I would do it if it was a Halloween wig, but otherwise, I'm too conservative!
ReplyDeleteGreat wig idea !!
DeleteThese are lovely images! I especially like that stairwell where the colors are sort of running into each other... The hair color is so fun! If it easily washed out, I would totally be willing to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteI think the stair well is my favorite because it reminds me of old plaster!
DeleteLearned something else from you today. Never knew it was called Ombre!! I love how cleverly you used it in the text of your blog. You are the best!!
ReplyDeleteNot for me, although I love the painting!
ReplyDeleteYu found some pretty images.

Thanks Teresa.. I am not the trendy girl so definitely on the fence about this trend!
DeleteIt's interesting and I love it but don't know if I want it permanently on my walls. My hair is dark underneath and light on top, that's ombre enough for me!!! That hair IS amazing. xo Nancy
ReplyDeleteHah I know if I would only grow out my roots I would be so trendy!!
ReplyDeleteHi Karolyn! I'm not a huge fan of Ombre for myself although I think it's a fun trend. Nails or hair may be fun but I'm not sure about walls. Great photos! xxleslie
ReplyDeleteOmbre feels so right now. I love it! Hope you get to do a room using ombre for the walls. I could see it in many spaces to transport one to a faraway magical spot. I love it in the blues.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such colorful inspiration and reminding me to pull out my ombre accessories. I have a necklace and a scarf.....

I think it is lovely in certain settings but I have a feeling it is going to be one of "those" trends!!
ReplyDeleteMy first reaction when I saw the hair was "no, no, no" but then I saw all those gorgeous, ethereal walls...they actually look old world rather than trendy. I am finally catching up on everyone's posts - it has been a CRAZY week - so I will probably be spamming you with comments! Hope you are having a beautiful day, my dear! xoxo
