There were some lovely gown out there, but the one that I couldn't take my eye off of was Lupita Nyong'os gown! I dub her "The Girl With The Pearl"! She inspired me to delve into pearl accoutrements for the home and here is what I came up with!

She is always the picture of elegance...and it was hard to see the detailing unless you saw it up close but WOW what details!!! I love anything with a pearly touch (you will love the bathroom floor I just chose). Overall trust me you didn't miss much, it was one of the more boring Oscars and the fashion was nothing to stay up for (but I did)!

ReplyDeleteI miss the Oscars every year. Her dress was beautiful though! Haven't seen Birdman yet. My husband wants to watch it together.

Karolyn, gorgeous post and i would agree that Lupita was stunning in her gown. It really does need to be seen close up to fully appreciate it. I enjoyed watching and I'll say it's a mixed bag of everything.. that's Hollywood.

ReplyDeleteWhat a dress! I thought it was just gorgeous - definitely the most beautifully unique of the night. Lupita is so lovely. Love your mother of pearl interiors here - there is nothing more gorgeous than shimmery white. Lucky us on the West Coast, we started our recording of Downton just a few minutes after the show started to air. I am a little over the Bates/Anna storyline have to say. Can't believe this week is the finale! I'll be watching! XOXO
