I have long admired English Print Rooms. I know they can be a bit fussy but at the same time they can be historic and lovely. I remember the wonderful Designer that I originally worked for had an English Print room recreated in a powder room. It was black and white prints on a creamy yellow painted back drop. If you are not familiar with a print room according to Wikipedia , it is a room decorated by pasting prints onto the wall in a quasi-collage style form as a sort of wallpaper, an 18th century fashion of which several examples survived.
It may seem daunting and a bit permanent to cut out copied historic prints and embellishments to create collages and decoupage them to a wall. However, you can create a great decoupaged print piece of furniture etc. in order to recreate the essence of that historic craft. So, let's get out our printers, scissors and mod podge and recreate some Print Rooms using modern or historic prints!
Decoupaged furniture using the right style prints can give you that fun print room feel!
This is such a neat idea. I have seen print rooms in movies and tv shows but never knew the proper name for it. I love that third room!
