Country Living In New Jersey!

I know that New Jersey has a bad reputation for being dirty, smoggy and congested.  Well, thats not the New Jersey I know! I live in an area of that couldn't be further from the stereotypical New Jersey jokes!  Let me give you a little tour of my New Jersey neighborhood and home.... My usual walk down my road with my favorite pups!


I dont smell the turnpike ,
I smell honeysuckle while walking my dogs!


My neighbors property is a favorite of mine, 
I instantly decompress while running or waling past it!







I even have a rescued barn cat named Remy!


New Jersey is big horse country and here is my Kieran!

My favorite thing about country living in NJ are the sunsets...
Did I change your mind about New jersey, I hope so!

    Karolyn, your corner of New Jersey looks like heaven! The rural surrounds are just wonderful. I love your home!!

    I have a great friend who lives in Fairport, NY. When I go to visit her the surroundings are similar. People always assume she's in the big city but that couldn't be further from the truth.

    I am so tickled that you shared your slice of heaven with us at TOHOT!
    You know I have a beloved friend that grew up in the New Jersey area, they moved to Texas and raised their family here. But once the children were grown they returned home.
    Her name is Alice and she is just as gracious and loving as you!
    Your countryside is magnificent and you have a horse...what a lucky lady you are!

    Karolyn, your photos truly capture the beauty of this area! I also loved seeing your lovely pool and pets. We were just saying the other evening how we have been smelling the honeysuckle everywhere. Such a wonderful time of the year!

    I love NJ! This looks amazing! I love living close to a city but I have a country spirit in me too. What a great life you've created and with such style. You have the best of both worlds.
    Can you do another post with a home tour? Those are always my favorites.

    I fell in love with New Jersey a few years ago. My cousin and I vacationed in Cape May and we took our children to visit Lucy the elephant in Margate City.     My cousin lives in Summit, NJ and I love visiting her. Our walks are so nice in the Fall and there are lots of charming towns. Her daughter is getting married this summer and I'm looking forward to coming back. YOUR area is gorgeous.
