Raving About St Regis!

I had the pleasure of staying at the renovated St Regis Hotel this past weekend.  I cannot rave enough about it. It had been years since I had last stayed there and I must say it has been redone with touch of fun!  While maintaing the elegant bones of this historic hotel the design was updated with an eclectic touch. Luxurious  traditional wall coverings and drapery with modern carpeting, furniture and accessories graced the plum perfection room in which we stayed.  I can also say that they were beyond accommodating and gracious.  If you want to splurge on a special occasion while staying in NYC come put the St Regis on your list!

  8. After seeing pictures this week of the newly renovated Ritz Paris, which is spectacular, it is sad to see what's been done to the St. Regis. The Ritz work was extensive, but so subtle it is hard to tell what changes were made. By comparison, St. Regis new rooms look out of place, and no doubt will look dated and need redoing in a few short years. Whereas the Ritz is classic and timeless.
