Totally Terrazzo!

Just when you thought Terrazzo was just for big hotels and other commercial projects think again! It's mainstream and with today's design leaning towards clean and more contemporary it fits right in.  I love all the amazing colors and variations that terrazzo comes in. I can imagine one with crushed shells being perfect in a beach house bathroom. The neutral or gray tones look wonderful in a clean lined kitchen or one that has slab wood cabinets.
 Truly you can have fun with this tile and a small foyer is not exception.  Check out these images and trust a little terrazzo!

I do believe that white kitchens will always be classic and gray has certainly made it's statement but watch out because wood is back in town!
Not just any wood, but clean,sharp,beautiful walnut and white oak,and sometimes even an unstained white pine.
I love wood on its own or mixed with a matte or high gloss upper set of cabinetry.  Colors such as taupe, dove and soft cream pair wonderfully with woods as well.  Don't believe me? Just take a look below!

STYLE MIX

A client told me the other day that she was all over the place with things she liked. "Bare with me" she said, "I have gone from modern to sleek to now loving Gustavian, so this will be a challenge."
 Nope not a challenge at all!  That's because styles do mix when not over done.  A wonderful modern kitchen may look out over a living room that has a sleek sofa paired with two low Swedish chairs and an iron an stone tableand look amazing. A modern bathroom may have a tall linear Gustavian cabinet tucked in between sleek vanities. It's that little bit of interest that gives rooms wonderful personality. So, have no fear mix up those spaces and take a little lesson from the grouping above and below!
