Meet Nigel Barker!

Hello everyone ! I know this is my second blog today but this for a charity that is special to me.
I have in the past been on the committee for the Summit Speech School.  Summit Speech School, located in New Providence, New Jersey, was founded in 1967. The school is one of only 51 private oral/OPTION schools in the country and the first in New Jersey teaching children who are deaf and hard of hearing to listen and talk without the use of sign language. Using intensive speech, language and auditory training sessions, along with FM systems, their own hearing aids, and cochlear implants, the children learn to maximize their listening, language and speaking skills. Approximately 3,000 children from more than 230 communities throughout New Jersey have attended the school. The school services more than 130 children from birth through high school annually. These children reside in communities throughout northern and central New Jersey. Each year they hold an annual Spring Gala in which all charitable donations are tax deductible and go to help us continue to provide children with the gift of hearing and speech.

We also have an amazing auction with very trendy, hard to come by items, such as Bruce Springsteen tickets at PruCenter May 2nd; personal shopping appointment w/ $500 gift card to Ted Baker, NYC; $150 gift card to celebrity dining hotspot, Da Silvano-NYC; four Caribbean resort trips; family getaway in Outer Banks, NC in private residence; “Book of Mormon” tickets and much, much more! SO exciting…If you are looking for a fun day or night out, that will also provide the necessary funding to help so many children in need, then please consider this event. It takes place April 17th, 2012 at the lovely Fiddler's Elbow Country Club, located right off of Rt. 78 in Bedminster NJ! Please contact the main office-908-508-0495 for ticket information!
Okay I couldn"t resist!!!
