Barneby Gates!

If you follow me you know I love interesting wall coverings and fabrics. I make it a point to search out cool finds and my searches have been leading me to England these days. I love the UK and I find myself drawn to the style and history that surrounds that great area of the world.  Well, I found another great company : Barneby Gates!  They have mixed patterns with traditional subject matter thats gives you a twist on the old hunt theme, floral, bees etc. This company was founded by Vanessa Barneby and Alice Gates. The two have wonderful talent with roots based in the arts and illustration, even publication.
Vanessa Barneby was the previous editor for Vogue Home Living from 2004 until 2009. She is a graduate from Edinburgh University and went on to study decorative art and trompe l'oeil painting at Hampstead Decorative Arts in London. She also used her talent and passion as an interior stylist at House  & Garden for 5 years!
Alice Gates is also a graduate of Edinburgh and went over seas to learn figurative painting, then returned to receive a masters in fine art at The City & Guilds Of London Art School. Alice's painting skills were rooted in fashion illustration which lead her to be featured in numerous publications such as Vogue, Tatler and The Saturday Times Magazine.
