A Stroll Thru Life!

Hi Everyone! I was invited to be a guest post at Marty's -A Stroll Thru Life- blog for her Show Off and Inspire Series. I was surprised and honored when she asked me if I would allow her to do a little house tour of my old colonial. I hope I don't disappoint! Marty has a wonderful blog and she has great guests frequently, so come on over and see Marty and Me at   A Stroll Thru Life!

See you there!

  1. I'm back, just in case you didn't read my comment at Marty's blog. Your home is GORGEOUS, Karolyn. I had seen the posts as the pool was installed and loved everything about it, but this Southerner loves a beautiful traditional home - charm personified…

    1. Now I am honored! I am so glad you liked it, it was nerve wracking because I know it is not everyones taste to go traditional but if you like it then I must be doing something right! Best, Karolyn

  9. I love your home! The detail is amazing. From the floor in the mud room, the moulding around your windows, your antique rugs, the list goes on and on...
I love the natural elements too. Grass cloth rugs, leather foot stools, and one furry dog. The balance of blue with browns is perfection! I'm also a fan of your horse paintings. Big gentle giants that are so calming and commanding at the same time. I'd love to see your china and dishwater.
    That's one great home!

  16. Hi Karolyn. Your home is gorgeous and I really enjoyed the tour over at Marty's. Would love to see more photos of your kitchen, especially the area around your hood and cooktop. Do you happen to have a tour of your kitchen on your blog (I couldn't find one). We're getting ready to start a kitchen remodel and I'm really struggling to find a backsplash that I'm happy with that doesn't cost a small fortune! Thank you in advance.

    1. Hello Suzy , how nice of you! Its funny I never thought to do a tour of my house on my blog I guess because I am my worst critic! My kitchen is 14 years old, I was afriad everyone would think it wa dated but you made my day! If you would like I could take a few closer shots and send them to you. A nice simple glazed tile with tight grout lines is always classic for backsplash. I wish I did my grout tighter but again it was years ago so my taste has changed!
      Have a great weekend, Karolyn
