Princess And The Pea Gravel!
We have been toying with the idea of moving. I guess so many changes are happening in our lives that maybe change is a good idea. There is something on the wish list for my next home that even a little princess wouldn't turn her nose up at, a pea gravel courtyard! I have always loved the textural welcoming look and feel of pea gravel underfoot. I also seem drawn to European homes that relish the outdoor living space and use nature to decorate it. Here are some of my very favorite pea gravel court yards. A girl can dream cant she?
I love this look..so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love this look too, it is so classic and homey!

That really is a great look! There must be something in the air because I have been eyeing up some new houses lately. I even started a post about moving. Not that we want to switch schools or anything but we have been in our house 15 years and there is so much to update now. Sometimes I think it would be easier to move than do a whole kitchen renovation!...

Hello Karolyn! Happy Sunday evening!
ReplyDeleteWe have always landscaped with gray gravel in our backyard. It warms my heart to read and see that the look is so popular. We just finished expanding our deck and are planning to add some new areas of gravel next Summer. I just finished showing Mr D your fabulous post. Now I am headed to pinterest to make a new board!

Oh yes....you captured my heart! I think next year we need to refresh the gray trap we have in our courtyard with pea gravel! KAROLYN! Thank you for such great photos here - they are making the summer linger just a little while longer in the mild temperatures. September truly is a special month, and thank you for coming to visit my post!
ReplyDeleteHave a sensational week and I do hope you get your fairytale garden soon! Anita
Lovely inspiration here. I love the sound of this gravel when you walk on it and it creates such a stylish, classic outdoor look.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...we have it, it can be a pain in the winter when it snows or in a heavy rain but even with that we still love it, its so much more charming than boring old blacktop (but requires more maintenance so involves a commitment). How exciting hat you might move......keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to see it! I know maintenance right... well it's only on the wish list so we shall see!
DeleteChange can be the rolling stone that gathers new moss and new pea gravel.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all your dreams come true.
