One Room Challenge Link Up Party!

I love following Linda from Calling It Home! I especially love the One Room Challenge time of year because there is such amazing talent and taste out there and we can all learn something from each other! It was so wonderful of her to open it up as a linking party for those who happen to be doing projects and want to share. I decided to join in the fun as I have started revamping my middle daughter's bedroom now that she is off to college.
The room is a bit  trendy at the moment with bright Tiffany Blue walls and hot pink touches throughout. I felt that it needed to grow up a bit and become a little more sophisticated. I hope that in doing this my daughter will love it and maybe respect this space a bit more upon her return from school. Well maybe at least she will make her bed!

One Room Challenge Linking Party!

Embarassing!! My daughter's room, well at least the part
I can show you!

Plan going into action!

As you can see the room is in disarray!  I could only show you small glimpses since she kept if an utter disaster area! I have my hopes that this will change now that the room and child are growing up!

First things first, remove chair rail and paint room a lovely:
Revere Pewter -Benjamin Moore!

Second :Paint the following items crisp white and add new
silver hardware!

Floor needs a lovely wool rug in pewter and oatmeal tones!

Bed needs new side tables that provide extra storage as 3 closets don't seem to do the job, go figure!

Roman shades in Duralee fabric is staying- like them and they add a little whimsy to space.

New headboard from One King Lane does the trick!

Side lamps will get revamped and art and accessories
will be added!
Stay tuned as my daughter's room learns a little sophistication.

  15. Karolyn,
This is going to be great! BM Revere Pewter is one of my favorite colors. I found that it is so complimentary next to wood floors. I just love this time of year when ORC is on!!!

  16. Karolyn,
Same thing going on here.....so we should compare notes! My daughter is designing her room and it is going to be awesome! It's so much fun to see designs come alive and take shape as our children grow and transform into adults. (Well, not all the time, but some of the time!)
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
