Well of course not everything that I ordered to complete this space came! The big piece that was a missing link was suppose to arrive November 4th. I called "Horchow" and was told,"sorry delayed until November 25th". This would be the rug, a key element to ground the space! Also disappointed that my custom wooden Monogram hasn't arrive either. Oh well, on with the semi-reveal so bare with me! Here is the link to the
before. Now we have created a neutral back drop for pops of color that can be changed out as my daughter grows tired of them. She is 19 so I wanted to still keep it somewhat fresh for someone her age with a touch of whimsy. I hope you stay tuned as I will re-shoot the room as the key pieces arrive. I for one cannot wait to see the other link up ORC rooms on Linda's-

ReplyDeleteLove how it turned out! Having two "adult" daughters (21 and almost 25) I can relate to wanting it to feel grown up yet with a touch of fun and whimsy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I know its hard they want to be sophisticated but not too serious yet!

DeleteHi Karolyn, I'm sure your sweet daughter is thrilled with her new room .. with or without a rug:) The roman shades are so pretty and I like the girlie,, whimsical feeling here. Well done and hang tight with regards to the rug and monogram items: ) Anytime you remodel it's always a lesson in patience (ha, I say this as I'm having my own personal anxiety attacks with the house project we've been working on since February!!!) Have fun this weekend:)

The room looks beautiful sans the rug. I love the roman shades, the art, the bedding and overall colors. Great job!
ReplyDeleteVery chic! I wish my daughter's room was ready to reveal. We are still waiting for the workers to finish......and trying to remind one another "it will be worth it!" Her big bed was delivered and I am so nervous it will not fit in down the hallway......the joys of home decor!
ReplyDeleteI keep praying it will all come together soon and my girl will be sweet dreaming in her new (old) room!
