The Happening Hallway!

We rally to get our homes Holiday ready even before we hang the mistletoe! Rooms are decorated and waiting for guests and family. I have one question,"how's your hallway"? Doesn't it seem that the entry hall and the side hallways sometimes get neglected. They are the one room that people always enter and usually leave by so they really should make an impression.  That doesn't mean that they have to be decked out to the nines but a great wall color or covering,  a fun light fixture or a wonderful rug can turn a boring space into a happening place! Here are some of my favorite hallways and also some picks to make your hallway leave a lasting impression.

Here are some hallway starters that even alone can immediately add style to a hallway or entry.
You can find these lovely lights here!

Love these for narrow long hallways that need several ceiling fixtures!

My entry light by Sherle Wagner, mine is vintage so the brass has tarnished over the years,
which is fine by me!

I think a fun rug can truly give a hallway or entry personality and set the stage for the next pieces that  you may want to add. I have two old tribal rugs but these new rugs from Lulu & Georgia are cool too!

The entry does need one thing for sure and that is a great umbrella stand!

Here's my little guy I got him in Lambertville but you can find vintage ones like him on Etsy!

LOVE- The Enchanted Home of course!

Another great transitional stand1 Dotto on Etsy.

What is you favorite find for a hallway or entry?

  1. What a great post. My old home had no entry, so I'm really enjoying making a statement with my new home. It's true, everyone enters and exits from that one point. I love Lulu & Georgia pieces! I really like your selection of lighting.
    Happy Holidays,
