Happy 25th Anniversary Veranda!

Veranda has been around for 25 years! This is amazing. They definitely have been doing something right! I still have Veranda magazines from 2007, and I still enjoy looking at them! Veranda has given us some of the most beautiful homes and gardens some that have left me speechless! I love the way they have addressed all design styles by some of the most popular designers and also by those that you may have not heard of but are masters in the field! I wish I was a fly on the wall at that 25th Anniversary Gala, I am sure the best of the best arrived in style! Well, at least I have the April issue to enjoy! I have found some my favorite rooms and gardens to share from Veranda. May they enjoy another 25 years, and I look forward to seeing the future of interior design!

Are you Bird Brained?

I am bird brained! Just figuratively speaking, I love anything with birds. I have a friend who even calls me the bird lady, and blames me now that she has become a bit obsessed with them too! I am not sure what exactly it is about birds that I am drawn to. Maybe it's their interesting colors and features, or maybe it's the mere fact that they can just fly away at any given moment. No, wouldn't that be nice! I have quite a few in my possession, and if my husband agrees to a chicken coop I will have live ones too. As I looked around my house it was almost embarrassing to find at least one bird in almost every room.  I decided to share a few of my birds today, and then post some that I wish I could have. Are you a bit bird brained too?  If so I would love to see your collection. Drop me a photograph and I will post it on my blog... as one of my fine feathered friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend, back to my crazy routine... and today some birds!!

Rabbits.. not just for Easter anymore!

I love rabbits! We used to have a few one lived over 7 years! They were adorable. I find rabbits very endearing, and really lovely to look at! So, I think rabbits belong in decor year round, not just at Easter! Some ways to achieve this without people thinking you never took down your decorations, is with paintings or sculpture!  There are some beautiful rabbit paintings out there, yo just have to look! Not all are cute, some are dramatic and some even have a modern edge. I found a few that I love and hope you like as well! Keep a little bunny year round that you don't even have to feed! Try a great piece of art! Well, I better get working on Easter! I am almost done decorating my table, lemon blueberry pound cake in the oven and the house smells great!! Have a wonderful Easter!
Almost set!! Happy Easter!
