The Grand Bazaar

What do we do on a rainy Monday? We visit one fun antique store, The Grand Bazaar!
It sometimes proves to be a dangerous trip because we always leave with far more than what we set out to find! Located in lovely Mendham, NJ, the Bazaar is a treasure trove of art, lighting, furniture and collectibles. They are moving across the street in Mendham and are having a 20% off everything until May 31st.  It's about a 40 minute ride from Manhattan with no traffic and one has quite a few great little shops to peruse, and lunch or dinner to be had at the quaint Black Horse pub down the block. There is so much in this little store that you need time to search and re-search to make sure you did not miss anything. We found some great art pieces, which will adorn the walls of a powder room that we are working on. We also found great frames that can be repurposed, you know how expensive frames can be these days! I included a little taste of what this shop has to offer. It's close to Bernardsville, Far Hills, and Morristown, where there are even more treasures to be found. Check out their site: www.grandbazaarantiques.com.
I would also like to thank Jennifer Williams of www.youngmomdecor.wordpress.com. Jennifer featured me as her designer of the week on her wonderful blog and I had a great time with the question and answer part! She is a young mom with great taste and a fun blog, please check her out when you get a chance!

Found this for a client who loves Lincoln!!

These adorable painted iron sconces would look lovely in a guest bedroom, or powder room!

Darn my iphone camera, these really are great, a gentleman's office or library could use these !

WE absolutely love this painting, and the store owner found out that is a famous listed artist.
You have to see this in person, she will be also selling this on EBAY.

Too cute Chinoiserie red lamp.

Great pair of bamboo regency lamps, and we hear even more fantastic lamps are coming in!

These little sport silhouettes  are great , they are about 4x6 each... wish I had a client for them!

Beautiful vintage pierced lamp with sharp black shade.

My finds: for a powder room project, gold medallions for wall. Kerry joyce fabric and Samuel & Sons greek key trim for window.

Will also adorn wall, antique print with great gilded frame.

More wall adornments, the small frames on the antique prints won me over!

Final purchase of a watercolor, love it! Also for powder room, will post install when done!

Well,  heres the update to my little window box! It has some growing to do,  and I chose mini coral, yellow and purple pansies, coral geraniums, and purple sweet potato vines, we'll see how this matures..fingers crossed!

  2. Love the lamps! And your window box, extremely cute! Looks like it is getting there! And my favorite picture, the one with the boat and the ship. Love the overall blue theme and overtone of it. Goes well and so easily into many different types of homes and things. At least, I think so.

    1. You are too kind! I am drawn to old prints when the colors are fresh and the frames are good, they mix well into a room. Thanks!!
