Viva Cali-for-Vacation!

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Southern California. My husband had a convention so we decided to tag along this time, and I am so glad we did!  We had alot of fun at our first stop which was San Diego. The water front is great, shopping in the Gas Lamp quarter is alot of fun, but I loved walking around Balboa Park most of all. The park is set on 1200 acres and includes museums, theater, restaurants and wonderful gardens. It is located next to the San Diego zoo which we toured as well.
The art museum was beautiful, and the kids loved the Natural history museum which had the remains of of the Titantic on display as well as  a photography exhibit featuring the Horse! The buildings have incredible architectural detail and the gardens are very well done. I also recommend eating outside at Prado! Food was fantastic and the setting was quaint with Mexican influence. Hope you enjoy a few pics of this great place. I will be sharing some of my favorite stops on this trip with you all this week so stop by often!

  1. These images are so inspiring! I lived in California for 1 year and the only part of the state I did not get to know was the southern. But we have a wedding to go there in December, can't wait.
