The Beauty Of Century!

Century Furniture Showroom!
The last stop of the design event at 200 Lex was at Century Furniture Showroom. We ended the night listening to a panel discussion by Michael Boodro, Editor in Chief of ELLE DECOR , Mario Buatta, Brian McCarthy and one of my favorites Bunny Williams!  The topic was "Putting Personality Into a Room", and trust me the real personalities where up on stage in a panel discussion! They  were quite entertaining and informative.  Again the topic of Web shopping came up and Bunny told a funny story about her experience buying a lovely antique chair for a client and when it was delivered it was miniature!  She said," from then on she prefers to personally shop stores, and showrooms etc for important pieces for rooms".  Mario was great and agreed he likes to see what a client would pick out one their own so that it truly gives him a perspective of what that client leans towards. We had a great time and I must say that the showroom looked amazing! I took shots of some of my favorite vignettes that where set up on the Century Floor, and I think you'll agree that they are fabulous!

I am excited to be heading to a meet and greet with Thom Filicia this evening at Schwartz Designer Showroom and I hope to have some great design tips and photos from the event for you tomorrow!
