Dapper Dan Carithers
I picked up an old Southern Accents Magazine from 2008 this evening, and realized I must have read this issue at least 25 times! I just cannot get rid of it. It's chock full of timeless interiors and the bulk of them were done by retired designer Dan Carithers. He truly was and is a design icon! His rooms are timeless and elegant and you wouldn't know if they were done 2008 or 20014. He was a master of design and I miss seeing his fabulous work in publications. In fact I miss that Southern Accent Magazine too! Please someone bring it back! I added a few more of my favorites by Dan that aren't in this issue, enjoy.
Thank you for posting on one of my all time favorite designers!!! An arbiter of such good classic taste...I LOVE his work!!!! This was a treat..and you have company I have not ever thrown away not a single one of my Southern Accents, they are like treasures from the past and I love going through them..over and over!!! They are collectors items:)
