Theatrical Lessons

I thought I would share a little glimpse of the stage during performance so all can see how painted perspective finally pays off! The musical is "The BoyFriend",  light hearted and fun set in the 1920's and I have to say the our director and volunteers sewed all of the costumes that truly could have been seen on an episode of Downton Abby.  Through the direction of our young Set Designer Gi Mirto a graduate of SCAD I was able to render what ever he threw at me, and that meant washed pastel walls, back drop of sky and ocean with gardens and dunes.  The fun came when we had to do the perspective faux wood flooring and I might add  my back is still just recovering! I hope these wonderful shades of lavender, yellow and pale blue get you inspiring for Spring!
