IN REMEMBRANCE-9/11

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CANDLE TO LIGHT IN REMEMBRANCE.  AVAILABLE THROUGH KBDECORDESIGNS- ETSY.
I STILL REMEMBER THAT DAY AS IF IT WAS YESTERDAY.    MY FATHER WORKED IN THE TWIN TOWERS SINCE THE 1970'S AND RETIRED JUST ABOUT 2 YEARS PRIOR TO 9/11. MY SISTER TOOK THE PATH TRAIN THAT MORNING AND WORKED DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE WTC. THE  BUILDINGS THAT WE KNEW SO WELL AND ATTENDED CHRISTMAS PARTIES AT AND TOURED SO PROUDLY WITH MY DAD WERE NOW GONE. MORE THAN THAT THE ESSENCE OF THOSE BUILDING WHICH WERE THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED THERE, HAD LOST THEIR LIVES.  WE WOULD NEVER AND WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
EVEN THOUGH YEARS HAVE GONE BY I STILL LIGHT A CANDLE FOR THOSE WHO PERISHED YEARS AGO AND HOPE THAT WE ALL CAN SPARE A FEW MINUTES OF SILENCE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEM AND NEVER FORGET.
THANK YOU

  2. Thank you for sharing this tribute, Karolyn. I remember the plane hitting the Pentagon and seeing the smoke from my office building just across the Potomac River. You just never forget....
    Take care,
