I Will Take Some Oak With A Little Lime, Please!

I have been drawn to pale natural woods lately. Maybe it's the gray of Winter that has me obsessed with pale wood, or maybe its the fact I have had painted cabinetry forever, and now I wish for something a bit more interesting and cool. Well, what ever it is I am loving and always have loved limed oak.  I love it in furniture, wood paneling and now seeing these kitchens done with it, WOW!  How do you feel about these natural looking lime touched pieces, a fad? Maybe not!

  6. Yes yes! Limed oak would be lovely on a dining table as well, something I've noticed customers asking for more and more these days.

  7. Oh yes, I am in love with this look, and we were very fortunate to obtain a set of French bookcases of this very same wood and color! I hope to have exposed beams installed next summer with the same color!

HELLO THERE MY DEAR! You are so kind to come by and comment on my post, during this mad rush before Christmas! You know, it's funny that you mention about my post being a movie of sorts. One of my many dreams in the literary area is to make a short film. How fun would that be?

Many wishes to you for a SUPER CHRISTMAS! Anita

  15. Those kitchens are gorgeous. I love the look of pale wood too. While I may not be able to do that with my cabinets I can start with something small like a thrifted piece of furniture. Thanks for the inspiration!! Happy New Year!!
